Presenting at the Meeting

Speakers should arrive in their presentation rooms at least 30 minutes before their scheduled speaking time. Poster presenters should set up their poster at least 30 minutes before the start of their poster session.

Poster Session Guidelines

All materials must be confined to:

  • Posters should be no more than 4-foot-high and 5-foot-wide. This is the maximum size – smaller posters are allowed.

Authors must mount their poster during the 30 minutes before the scheduled session start. Poster numbers supplied by SERMACS will be in the upper corner of each poster board, and this number corresponds with the number assigned to each poster in the technical program. Pushpins will be available at the poster session. Authors must remain with their posters for the duration of their scheduled session as indicated in the technical program. All posters must remain up until the session ends and then must be removed within 30 minutes. ACS cannot assume responsibility for materials beyond these time limits.

Technical Session Equipment

Each technical session meeting room will be equipped with the following:

  • LCD projector
  • screen
  • podium microphone or lapel microphone upon request
  • laser pointer upon request
  • For special requests, contact

Speakers need to provide their own laptops or arrange for specialty equipment directly with their symposium organizer and/or program chair, Ann Sullivan (asullivan@reynolds.edu) before October 20th.

Speaker Ready Rooms

Ensure compatibility with LCD projectors, fulfill last-minute audiovisual equipment orders or rehearse your presentation. Visit an SERMACS Operations office in the Board Room of the Omni Hotel.  This room will be opened upon request.
