Good question. I think business casual is the accepted attire for a conference attendee who is not presenting. For the career activities, I suggest business casual for the morning sessions and a little more formal for the afternoon sessions (i.e. no jeans, button shirt, maybe a jacket).You are most likely to run into a future or potential employers in the afternoon sessions. If you have submitted a resume, be prepared for formal dress for a potential interview. Otherwise…….

To attend any research talks at SERMACS you will need to register for the meeting. Registration is $100 for graduate students.

Hey
This is Praneeth Nimmala, a graduate student from University of Mississippi. My research advisor Dr Amal Dass is giving a talk during the 2011 Sermacs event in Richmond. I am interested in presenting a poster too but due to hectic schedule and midterms, i cannot prepare and poster and therefore did not register for the event. Now if i just want to come by there and attend my advisor’s talk, do i have to register? If so is there any payment for it?
